The Oot and Aboot Group is on a Wednesday Morning which runs from 10.30am until 12noon. The Group participate in activities within and out with Robertson Road Centre.
The Group members are responsible for planning and researching their activities and are supported to access the centre and public transport with use of their bus pass to visit various places and landmarks. The group also attend outdoor events and other wildlife related talks etc.
The Group have had exotic animal handler and also an owl charity come to Robertson Road Centre to meet the animals and to find out more about them. Every couple of months the group like to go to have their lunch out.
The Group aim to promote healthy eating & well-being, by incorporating small to moderate walks into the planned activity and encouraging & discussing healthy eating options when out for lunch.
As the group are often out in the Community any obstacles such as wheelchair access, public transport & customer services issues are dealt with by the group members with the support of the group leader.
