The aim of the photography group is to introduce photography to service users and to continually maintain progress their skills using a computer and various equipment. The Group meet on a Thursday afternoon between 1.30pm and 3 pm.
The group direct their own work by having regular planning meetings where they will decide on the projects they would like to undertake as well as aspects of photography they would like to learn about or concentrate on.
The group visit many locations within the area and can link with other groups such as college courses, working with local photographer Amy Davenport to make cameras out of tins and develop the photographs in a dark room, displaying their work in local exhibitions and entering competitions, taking part in any community initiatives etc.
More recently the group have sold some of their photographs after having a very successful 2 month exhibition at Cafe Connect in Fraserburgh in 2014 and again in 2015 and some of their photographs are also on display and for sale at the Aden Park Craft Shop.
The group continually look to ascertain ways in which their work can be displayed in the community and to become involved in any community activities that involve photography.
